Tubesock
About Tubesock

29 years. Same phone number. Same values.

Tubesock started in 1997 out of Shelbyville, Indiana, when a small handful of local businesses needed a technology partner they could actually reach. Twenty-nine years, three technology revolutions, and one worldwide pandemic later, we're still doing the same job for the same kind of company — and for a lot more of them.

Our story

Founded 1997. Still local. Still answering.

When Rob Nolley started Tubesock, "IT services" was a term nobody was using yet. There was no such thing as an MSP. Businesses either had someone on staff who "did computers," or they called Rob when things broke.

Twenty-nine years later, the industry has three names for what we do (MSP, MSSP, XaaS), thirty acronyms for how we do it, and hundreds of platforms promising to do it better. And most Central Indiana businesses still just want what they wanted in 1997: someone who knows their environment, picks up the phone, and fixes what's broken.

That's the whole business. We stayed small on purpose. We hire slowly and stay hired. And we've spent nearly three decades earning the kind of trust that only shows up when you're still there year twenty-nine.

What we believe

Four values, in plain English.

01

Heritage over hype

We've been doing this since 1997. That means we've watched an entire industry get invented, get commoditized, and get invented again. What survives is the stuff that actually matters — and we're still here doing it.

02

One team, no handoffs

The technician who answers your call is the technician who touches your environment. No offshored L1, no ticket-shuffle between tiers, no explaining your setup to a new person every time.

03

Right-sized, not oversold

We tell clients when they don't need what we sell. That has cost us deals. It has kept us in business for 29 years.

04

Care is a technical skill

Caring about the client is not a soft skill — it's how you notice the printer that fails every Thursday, the alert that keeps firing at 3 a.m., the thing the last MSP said "was fine." We notice.

The team

Ten people. All of whom know your name.

We’re not the biggest MSP in Indiana. We're deliberately not. Ten people is exactly the size we need to be to serve our clients the way we promise — small enough that everyone knows every account, big enough that nothing falls through the cracks.

Beyond the day job

Deputy Mayor of Foreign Affairs.

Rob is the City of Shelbyville's unpaid Deputy Mayor of Foreign Affairs, appointed by the Mayor. In that role he manages Shelbyville's sister-city relationship with Shizuoka, Japan and serves as the city's point of contact for the foreign-owned manufacturers who have made Shelby County a hub for Japanese, European, and other international industry.

It's not a Tubesock role. But it's why Tubesock understands foreign-owned manufacturers better than any other MSP in the state.
